Hortêncio da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Osvaldinho Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Areinhas got a freekick which was hit by Luís Guilherme Corrêa. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hortêncio da Fonseca made a kick off. Renato Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Borges in the 55th minute of the match. When Dário Borges came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Areinhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dário Borges couldn't finish the play. Osvaldinho Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dário Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Chapadas FC's Renato Galvão got control of the ball when Nicolas Sampaio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chapadas FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Areinhas for a fine match.
