Osvaldinho Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Areinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Moura came free, but Osvaldinho Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Sabóia's late challenge caught a Imortal Tricolor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Sabóia helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Areinhas getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Gabriel Sabóia hit a great ball. Osvaldinho Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Madureira in the 16th minute of the match. Yuri Goiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldinho Fontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Felipe Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imortal Tricolor's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldinho Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osvaldinho Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yuri Goiano's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Osvaldinho Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri Goiano in the 31st minute of play. If Yuri Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Yuri Goiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Viana took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Osvaldinho Fontes. Areinhas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yuri Goiano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Yuri Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the game, Felipe Moura cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Osvaldinho Fontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute, one of Areinhas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Areinhas. Osvaldinho Fontes had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Yuri Goiano's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Areinhas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Yuri Goiano scored to the left of an out of position Osvaldinho Fontes, making the score, 0-2. The supporters of Areinhas booed when Imortal Tricolor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Fernando Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imortal Tricolor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yuri Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th match minute, Areinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, Imortal Tricolor's Yuri Goiano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldinho Fontes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 97 played minutes Areinhas got a freekick which was hit by Luís Guilherme Corrêa. The Areinhas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Imortal Tricolor were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
