In the 9th match minute, Gutierri FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Ricardinho Hermes struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Renato Galvão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gutierri FC. Dalmo Vasconcelos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonas Arantes having to make a save. After 25 played minutes Chapadas FC got a freekick which was hit by Cauan Hoffmann. When Raphael Lago came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Gutierri FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael Lago couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Chapadas FC's Hortêncio da Fonseca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonas Arantes. Jonas Arantes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 36th minute, Hortêncio da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hortêncio da Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Jonas Arantes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chapadas FC. Zé Roberto Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jonas Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raphael Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Chapadas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Lago came free, but Renato Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Gutierri FC's Ricardinho Hermes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renato Galvão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Beto Linares kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Chapadas FC booed when Gutierri FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Chapadas FC's Renato Galvão got control of the ball when Raphael Lago tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute, Dênis de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gutierri FC's Jonas Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio da Fonseca in the 67th minute of play. Zé Roberto Trevisan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Ricardinho Hermes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Renato Galvão, passed just outside the right post. 74 minutes into the match, Chapadas FC's goalkeeper Renato Galvão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raphael Lago. If Ricardinho Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raphael Lago got free with Renato Galvão in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 82 minutes into the game, Zé Roberto Trevisan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonas Arantes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Raphael Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chapadas FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gutierri FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
