Luizinho Loureiro struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Igor Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Massambara. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizinho Loureiro in the 4th minute of play forced Nacional Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Igor Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 9th minute by Clemente Lopez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 10 minutes into the game, Didi Tepedino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Duda Almeida. Didi Tepedino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Duda Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Tepedino in the 14th minute of play. Massambara's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Didi Tepedino scored to the left of an out of position Duda Almeida, making the score, 2-0. Luizinho Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Massambara's Cristiano Moura in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nacional Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional Futebol Clube's zone, Cristiano Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Araújo came out of the goal and Cristiano Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, Massambara's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Tepedino came free, but Duda Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Luizinho Loureiro made a precise shot to the right of Igor Araújo. Nacional Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 35th match minute, Massambara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Prata to maneuver through the defense. When Cristiano Moura came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Massambara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Moura couldn't finish the play. When Luizinho Loureiro fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Massambara's protests and gave Luizinho Loureiro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Massambara getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Luizinho Loureiro hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Igor Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Moura in the 54th minute of the match. In the 64th minute Cristiano Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gino Coelho during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Gino Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ulisses Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duda Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Tepedino in the 69th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Luizinho Loureiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 77 minutes into the match, Nacional Futebol Clube's Clemente Lopez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duda Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Clemente Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Duda Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Tepedino in the 83rd minute of play. After 89 minutes, Luís Guilherme Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nacional Futebol Clube and the Massambara players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 89 played minutes Nacional Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Luís Guilherme Azevedo. Igor Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Moura in the 93rd minute of play. Nacional Futebol Clube succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Massambara had controlled the match.
