After having played for 4 minutes, Eugênio Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Davi Mesquita fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vila Barros City's protests and gave Davi Mesquita a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, one of Vila Barros City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vila Barros City. Ricardo Vargas walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 27th match minute, Coiotes Club MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fernando Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. If Giuseppe Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilvan Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fernando Oliveira in the 32nd minute of play forced Vila Barros City's goalkeeper Kaká Capixaba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luiz Fernando Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaká Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 played minutes Coiotes Club MZ got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Oliveira. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

51 minutes into the match, Luiz Fernando Oliveira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kaká Capixaba, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Luiz Fernando Oliveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kaká Capixaba was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 64th match minute, Coiotes Club MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesinha Penha to maneuver through the defense. Kaká Capixaba made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Gilvan Quadros sent off a good shot on target. Deivid Paraense came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Barros City's Eugênio Neto. But to his dismay, Eugênio Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Davi Mesquita got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Gilvan Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Kaká Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 98th minute, Vila Barros City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gilvan Quadros fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
