In the 16th minute Glauco Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 played minutes Jales FC got a freekick which was hit by Tales Miranda. Cilandia SC's Clóvis Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Aguiar in the 27th minute of play. Joélson de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Cilandia SC's Joélson de Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aílton Cardozo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Giovanni Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clóvis Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glauco Aguiar in the 38th minute of the match. If Joélson de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jales FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jânio Trevisan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clóvis Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the match, Cilandia SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jânio Trevisan came free, but Clóvis Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jânio Trevisan in the 77th minute of play forced Cilandia SC's goalkeeper Clóvis Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aílton Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Damião in the 88th minute of the match.
