Humberto Sabóia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gláuber Coutinho charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gláuber Coutinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Gláuber Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nico Zonta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. ZÜÖ ÖÜZ's Rubens Tepedino got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rubens Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the ZÜÖ ÖÜZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubens Tepedino couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute, Leandro Dionísio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rubens Tepedino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Humberto Sabóia made a huge save. After a rather tough play, ZÜÖ ÖÜZ's Jânio Figueiredo got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enio Soeiro made a kick off. Fernando Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Nico Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Flamengo de Caxias F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Dionísio came free, but Humberto Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 minutes, Fernandinho Dracena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flamengo de Caxias F. C. and the ZÜÖ ÖÜZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leandro Dionísio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Sabóia having to interfere. Nico Zonta came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo de Caxias F. C.'s Fernando Vasconcelos. But to his dismay, Fernando Vasconcelos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 67 played minutes Flamengo de Caxias F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Quadros. After 69 played minutes Flamengo de Caxias F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Vasconcelos. ZÜÖ ÖÜZ's Nico Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio Soeiro in the 78th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Flamengo de Caxias F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Tepedino. Enio Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Durval Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Sabóia didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when ZÜÖ ÖÜZ's Leandro Dionísio shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Rubens Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Sabóia having to interfere. If Fernando Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
