Claudinei Gaúcho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 55 minutes into the match, S C CORINTHIANS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Vito Saldanha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cacá Tande. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Marquez in the 78th minute of play forced Pinto EC's goalkeeper Claudinei Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Pinto EC defense, Breno Marquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinei Gaúcho. The Pinto EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinei Gaúcho should have stopped the shot. In the 89th minute of the match Dieguinho Garcia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinei Gaúcho skillfully saved the ball.
