Spectators: 5143 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dráusio Capixaba kicked off to start the match. Natã Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Luiz Eduardo Madureira, 3 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dráusio Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute Sidney Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato da Costa made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Luiz Paulo Penha sent off a good shot on target. If Ricardo do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Dráusio Capixaba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Ricardo do Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Cruzeiro de Cachoeirinha booed when Itaguacu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sidney Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Donato da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Itaguacu SC's Sidney Ferreira got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Dráusio Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruzeiro de Cachoeirinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráusio Capixaba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Régis Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sidney Ferreira to strike the kick off in the second half. Dráusio Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis Barros having to interfere. Itaguacu SC's Régis Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráusio Capixaba in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Luiz Paulo Penha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donato da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 61st minute, Dráusio Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Régis Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dráusio Capixaba's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. The supporters of Itaguacu SC booed when Cruzeiro de Cachoeirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovani Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dráusio Capixaba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute, one of Cruzeiro de Cachoeirinha:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cruzeiro de Cachoeirinha. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Ricardo do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruzeiro de Cachoeirinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo do Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sydney Valladares was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo do Vale got free with Régis Barros in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Many of Cruzeiro de Cachoeirinha's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Cruzeiro de Cachoeirinha may have spent more time on the ball, but Itaguacu SC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
