Beto Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Claudinei Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute of the match, Laerte Antunes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Beto Damião saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Laerte Pimenta's late challenge caught a Pinto EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laerte Pimenta helped the player get up and apologised. 18 minutes into the game, Laerte Antunes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Beto Damião. Laerte Antunes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Kléberson Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. When Cacá Tande came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Pinto EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cacá Tande couldn't finish the play. Laerte Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cacá Tande could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Beto Damião made a huge save. Black Star Wings's Beto Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Tande in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Laerte Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beto Damião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Cacá Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinto EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cacá Tande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Black Star Wings's goalkeeper Beto Damião had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cacá Tande. If Cacá Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Laerte Antunes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Beto Damião. That made the score 2-0 in the 47 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laerte Antunes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pinto EC's goalkeeper Claudinei Gaúcho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilson Guedes hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Ulisses Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudinei Gaúcho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulisses Trancoso in the 60th minute. If Beto Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beto Damião didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laerte Antunes went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacá Tande in the 80th minute of play forced Black Star Wings's goalkeeper Beto Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Kléberson Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Black Star Wings's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinto EC the free kick. In the 85th match minute, Black Star Wings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson Marques to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute of the match Rômulo Baptista sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beto Damião skillfully saved the ball. Franklin Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beto Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franklin Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sérgio Pontes's late challenge caught a Pinto EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sérgio Pontes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pinto EC booed when Black Star Wings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Pontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Black Star Wings players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pinto EC.
