Marcos Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Edmílson Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Fernando Gonçalves hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Melo in the 17th minute of play forced Apuhy's goalkeeper Edmílson Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Juvenal Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, PQL F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfredinho Torres came free, but Tadeu Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute of the match João Carlos Tavares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edmílson Ribeiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Conrado Quintal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Tadeu Valle skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Conrado Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu Valle having to interfere. Tadeu Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Conrado Quintal's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Natanael Senna struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 52nd minute, Alfredinho Torres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeu Valle was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Conrado Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Apuhy's goal looked a bit too open when Zeca Simões came free, but Edmílson Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Conrado Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apuhy's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeu Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Conrado Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeca Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Tadeu Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Quintal in the 77th minute of the match. Juvenal Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu Valle having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conrado Quintal in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tadeu Valle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tadeu Valle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Conrado Quintal went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in PQL F.C.'s zone, Conrado Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadeu Valle came out of the goal and Conrado Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natanael Senna might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tadeu Valle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Natanael Senna ran back to his position shaking his head. Apuhy's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
