The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juarês Salgado made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonçalo Souto got free with Afonso Vasconcelos in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Afonso Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinho Quadros in the 55th minute of play. Afonso Vasconcelos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edinho Quadros's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Edinho Quadros spun around in front of the goal 60 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Calamar's goal. Afonso Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinho Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute.
