The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tadeu Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tostão Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinei Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu Valle having to interfere. After some careless play in the PQL F.C. defense, Agostinho Faria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadeu Valle. The PQL F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeu Valle should have stopped the shot. After 22 minutes, Benê Antunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brancos FC and the PQL F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benê Antunes hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. If Agostinho Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeu Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Agostinho Faria came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Brancos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agostinho Faria couldn't finish the play. When Zeca Simões fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PQL F.C.'s protests and gave Zeca Simões a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to PQL F.C. getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Zeca Simões hit a great ball. Agostinho Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Tadeu Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tostão Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tadeu Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tostão Cosme in the 39th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Brancos FC defense, Rui Peres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gino Mota. The Brancos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gino Mota should have stopped the shot. Agostinho Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Tadeu Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tostão Cosme to strike the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Samuel Valadares almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PQL F.C.'s Tadeu Valle did a great save. Tostão Cosme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tadeu Valle having to make a save. In the 67th minute Rui Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Tostão Cosme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeu Valle was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. If Rui Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agostinho Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agostinho Faria struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Tadeu Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brancos FC. Agostinho Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tostão Cosme in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tadeu Valle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brancos FC played a much better game than PQL F.C. and deserved their victory. The PQL F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
