Artur Capixaba started the match with the kick off. Marcos Melo's late challenge caught a Rubro Negro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Melo helped the player get up and apologised. Rubro Negro's Jonas Bertassi was substituted for Oséas Breckenfeld. After 5 played minutes PQL F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Melo. After a defensive mix-up in PQL F.C.'s zone, Hugo Arruda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadeu Valle came out of the goal and Hugo Arruda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. PQL F.C.'s Tadeu Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Arce in the 8th minute of play. Tadeu Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Jacinto in the 10th minute of the match. Tadeu Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar Arce in the 19th minute of play. Tadeu Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Jacinto's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baltazar Arce in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. PQL F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Arruda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 31 minutes into the match, PQL F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Jacinto came free, but Tadeu Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Capixaba hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Tadeu Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar Arce in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to PQL F.C. getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ian Faria hit a great ball. After the first half Rubro Negro were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Bernardo Jacinto made the kick off in the second half. When Aníbal Mineiro fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rubro Negro's protests and gave Aníbal Mineiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for PQL F.C.. André Luiz Gomes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fernando Gaúcho. 1-1. A collision led to PQL F.C. getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Zeca Simões hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, PQL F.C.'s goalkeeper Tadeu Valle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baltazar Arce. 60 minutes into the game, Bernardo Jacinto lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Tadeu Valle. When André Luiz Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PQL F.C.'s protests and gave André Luiz Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to PQL F.C. getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. André Luiz Gomes hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Jacinto in the 64th minute of play forced PQL F.C.'s goalkeeper Tadeu Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Bernardo Jacinto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tadeu Valle. The goal made the score 1-3. With his leg Tadeu Valle managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Rubro Negro's Baltazar Arce fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tadeu Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Jacinto in the 78th minute of the match. Tadeu Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Jacinto in the 82nd minute of play. Tadeu Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baltazar Arce in the 85th minute.
