Baltazar Arce scored 2-0 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonso Vasconcelos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Afonso Vasconcelos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Afonso Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Rubro Negro were awarded a corner. Romeu Cabral went to the cornerflag to take it. Afonso Vasconcelos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baltazar Arce in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Vasconcelos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Calamar's Reginaldo Trevisan got a free kick in the 75th minute. Rubro Negro's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
