Eugênio Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percy Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Romário Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rd minute of the match, Percy Martins tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eugênio Quirino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 24 minutes into the match, Caracituba's goalkeeper Eugênio Quirino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergio Ladio. Fabinho Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Joaquim Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romário Hermes in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ian Abbott prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Percy Martins in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugênio Quirino saved Caracituba from getting behind. In the 33rd minute Percy Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugênio Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percy Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Caracituba's Túlio Arruda got a free kick in the 35th minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Percy Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Noviscky's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percy Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Percy Martins to strike the kick off in the second half. Joaquim Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Abbott having to interfere. Cristian Diniz lost his temper 57 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Noviscky:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Caracituba:s goal. The goalkeeper, Ian Abbott, was totally fooled by Caracituba's Celso Sanches, who 60 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 63rd minute, Joaquim Baptista fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Percy Martins in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugênio Quirino saved Caracituba from getting behind. Romário Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ian Abbott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Noviscky's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Sanches came free, but Ian Abbott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Celso Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Noviscky's Fabinho Ramos got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After having played for 97 minutes, Romário Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caracituba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romário Hermes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Noviscky fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Caracituba were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
