José Vítor Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Viana in the 9th minute of play forced Stunts Sport Club's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Tijuca F.C.'s Leonardo Viana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodriguinho Maranhense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Rafael Hoffmann fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tijuca F.C.'s protests and gave Rafael Hoffmann a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Rafael Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 19 minutes, Pedrinho Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tijuca F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedrinho Cerezo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 played minutes Stunts Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Velasco. The Tijuca F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Tijuca F.C.'s Pedrinho Cerezo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. José Vítor Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Vergílio having to interfere. Zé Pedro Vergílio made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when José Vítor Porto sent off a good shot on target. Denílson Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Zé Pedro Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute, João Pedro das Neves made a precise shot to the right of Rodriguinho Maranhense. Stunts Sport Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The Stunts Sport Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tijuca F.C. were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denílson Bezerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Denílson Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stunts Sport Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denílson Bezerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Stunts Sport Club booed when Tijuca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, José Vítor Porto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonardo Viana spun around in front of the goal 65 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Stunts Sport Club's goal. In the 67th minute of the match Caetano Proença shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodriguinho Maranhense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cafu Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Porto in the 70th minute of play forced Tijuca F.C.'s goalkeeper Zé Pedro Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodriguinho Maranhense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedrinho Cerezo in the 72nd minute. José Vítor Porto took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Pedro Vergílio. Zé Pedro Vergílio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Rodriguinho Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Viana in the 81st minute of the match. Cafu Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Rodriguinho Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Viana in the 83rd minute of play. Rodriguinho Maranhense was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Leonardo Viana capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leonardo Viana really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 92nd minute, Geovani Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Pedro Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Porto in the 96th minute of play. In the 98th minute of the match Stunts Sport Club got a corner. Tijuca F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rubens Macedo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Stunts Sport Club's Rubens Macedo to fire away a dangerous shot which Zé Pedro Vergílio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tijuca F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
