Quincos SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The Caracituba fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Caracituba's Adhemar Mello looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Joaquim Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Quincos SC's Haroldo de Godoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eugênio Quirino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mateus Melo got free with Eugênio Quirino in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celso Sanches took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cícero Maia. Cícero Maia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Romário Hermes came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Caracituba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romário Hermes couldn't finish the play. If Adhemar Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Caracituba's Celso Sanches nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cícero Maia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. If Edgar Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Sanches might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cícero Maia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celso Sanches ran back to his position shaking his head. Romário Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Cícero Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Celso Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caracituba's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso Sanches was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the game, Caracituba's Romário Hermes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cícero Maia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Quincos SC's Cícero Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Hermes in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Haroldo de Godoi made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Romário Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caracituba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romário Hermes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ademar Carneiro charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ademar Carneiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 played minutes Quincos SC got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Carneiro. Adhemar Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adhemar Mello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 61 minutes of play, Caracituba's Celso Sanches made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cícero Maia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celso Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Maia having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Romário Hermes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Quincos SC's Cícero Maia got control of the ball when Celso Sanches tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Adhemar Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caracituba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adhemar Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th play minute Celso Sanches came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cícero Maia. 0-7. Cícero Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário Hermes in the 85th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Quincos SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. Adhemar Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Cícero Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Adhemar Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caracituba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adhemar Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Quincos SC's zone, Romário Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cícero Maia came out of the goal and Romário Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Celso Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caracituba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Sanches was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Quincos SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Caracituba were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
