If Tadeu Abajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Alexsandro Massa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Noviscky's zone, Cauã Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Abbott came out of the goal and Cauã Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tadeu Abajas in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ian Abbott prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thanks to some nice moves Sergio Ladio could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Alexsandro Massa however easily saved by the left post. If Tadeu Abajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Internacionale's Alexsandro Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Martins in the 37th minute of play. Tadeu Abajas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Percy Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexsandro Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gernando Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Internacionale's João Carlos Nunes got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Braedan Frew was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 44th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percy Martins in the 46th minute of play forced Internacionale's goalkeeper Alexsandro Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Percy Martins to make the kick off. Gernando Barral charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gernando Barral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Noviscky getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ian Abbott didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Internacionale. Alexsandro Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Ladio in the 62nd minute of play. Ian Abbott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cauã Souto in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, Noviscky's Renatinho Koehler got a free kick in the 67th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Internacionale's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Ladio came free, but Alexsandro Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cauã Souto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Ian Abbott made a huge save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Internacionale players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
