Spectators: 6421 (Terracing: 5421, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marco Netto started the match with the kick off. Túlio Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haroldo de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cícero Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Netto in the 11th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Quincos SC defense, Marco Netto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cícero Maia. The Quincos SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cícero Maia should have stopped the shot. Ademar Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Túlio Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Geraldo de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jauaraita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geraldo de Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Trevisan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quincos SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jauaraita the free kick. Quincos SC's Cícero Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo de Moraes in the 27th minute of play. Geraldo de Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo de Godoi in the 31st minute of play forced Jauaraita's goalkeeper Túlio Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Quincos SC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Netto came free, but Cícero Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Jauaraita's goalkeeper Túlio Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ademar Carneiro. In the 43rd minute Ademar Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Túlio Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute of the match, Haroldo de Godoi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Túlio Santos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Ademar Carneiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 54th minute, Geraldo de Moraes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Luís Fabiano Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Cícero Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jauaraita. Geraldo de Moraess short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Cícero Maia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Túlio Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Carneiro in the 65th minute of play. Marco Netto struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Cícero Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jauaraita. The audience was convinced that Haroldo de Godoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Túlio Santos was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Marco Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jauaraita's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Netto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Maia having to interfere. When Reynaldo Trevisan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. The supporters of Jauaraita booed when Quincos SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Quincos SC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Haroldo de Godoi hit a great ball. Geraldo de Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Maia having to interfere.
