The audience thought a goal was coming when Geraldo de Moraes got free with Romário Nascimento in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 23 played minutes Umburatiba AD got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto Paulista. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Marco Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jauaraita's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Netto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romário Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubinho da Cunha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
