Mirinzal SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reinaldo Araújo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Augusto Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé Faria having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Denílson Abraão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sauva SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mirinzal SS the free kick. Denílson Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Sauva SS's Osvaldo Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeferson do Vale in the 16th minute of play. Sauva SS's Augusto Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mirinzal SS's Dé Faria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Mirinzal SS from getting a goal against them. Osvaldo Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sauva SS's Vladimir Pinheiro got a free kick in the 56th minute. Osvaldo Lira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeferson do Vale's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Jeferson do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 74 minutes, Gildo Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mirinzal SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gildo Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldo Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeferson do Vale in the 75th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Mirinzal SS's Jeferson do Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldo Lira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Mirinzal SS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sauva SS.
