Raimundo Berger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dorian Azevedo having to make a save. In the 9th minute Raimundo Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorian Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celso Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The supporters of Moderna FC booed when RB Miguelense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute of the match Perivaldo Ceresso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celso Machado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dorian Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Berger in the 15th minute of the match. Celso Machado made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Cléber Vianna sent off a good shot on target. Guga Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Ernesto Berger hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. A collision led to RB Miguelense getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Raimundo Berger hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Cido dos Santos made a precise shot to the right of Dorian Azevedo. Moderna FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Cido dos Santos fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RB Miguelense's protests and gave Cido dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute, Cido dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 minutes of play, Moderna FC's Vicente Cardozo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Machado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cido dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cido dos Santos struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Dorian Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RB Miguelense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Berger in the 42nd minute of play forced Moderna FC's goalkeeper Dorian Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorian Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raimundo Berger was the one to do the kick off. Dorian Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RB Miguelense. 80 minutes into the game, Fernando Bertassi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RB Miguelense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moderna FC the free kick. After some careless play in the Moderna FC defense, Cido dos Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dorian Azevedo. The Moderna FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dorian Azevedo should have stopped the shot. If Cido dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cido dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Azevedo having to interfere. RB Miguelense were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Moderna FC to leave the ground with a draw.
