The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Cardozo to strike the kick off in the second half. If Valdomiro Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Moderna FC's Augusto Coelho got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Moderna FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Costa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
