Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Siriji's Baltazar de Carvalho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dorian Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar de Carvalho in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Moderna FC's goalkeeper Dorian Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guto Cordeiro. 11 minutes into the match, Siriji's goal looked a bit too open when Cléber Vianna came free, but Ernani Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Baltazar de Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Siriji fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltazar de Carvalho couldn't finish the play. If Cléber Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernani Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Cardozo in the 21st minute of play. Guto Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Dorian Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Moderna FC's zone, Baltazar de Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorian Azevedo came out of the goal and Baltazar de Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cléber Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Luiz Veiga hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Moderna FC's goalkeeper Dorian Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guto Cordeiro. 40 minutes into the game, Guto Cordeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dorian Azevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Baltazar de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Siriji's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltazar de Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorian Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorian Azevedo came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Siriji's Baltazar de Carvalho. But to his dismay, Baltazar de Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

If Baltazar de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorian Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guto Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Dorian Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guto Cordeiro in the 59th minute of the match. When Baltazar de Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Siriji fans jumped to their feet. Moderna FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Siriji the free kick. In the 76th match minute, Moderna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Alberto Mazza to maneuver through the defense. When Guto Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Siriji fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Cardozo in the 91st minute of play forced Siriji's goalkeeper Ernani Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Siriji booed when Moderna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltazar de Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Azevedo having to interfere.
