Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Raimundo Berger started the match with the kick off. When Mazinho de Salles came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the RB Miguelense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mazinho de Salles couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Berger in the 7th minute of play forced Campelo FC's goalkeeper Kiko Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Campelo FC booed when RB Miguelense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mazinho de Salles charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mazinho de Salles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, RB Miguelense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mazinho de Salles to maneuver through the defense. Jarbas Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Campelo FC's Guga de Salles in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 23 played minutes RB Miguelense got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Palmeira. Cido dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Kiko Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Campelo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Raimundo Berger scored to the left of an out of position Kiko Catarinense, making the score, 1-0. RB Miguelense's Celso Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarbas Domingues in the 43rd minute of play. Fernando Bertassi charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Bertassi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fernando Bertassi hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guga de Salles was the one to do the kick off. If Raimundo Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Cido dos Santos in the 54th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Raimundo Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Kiko Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kiko Catarinense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cido dos Santos's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. RB Miguelense's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nildo Castro in the 60th minute. After having played for 68 minutes, Raimundo Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RB Miguelense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Berger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. RB Miguelense's Cido dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cido dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Campelo FC's Kiko Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Berger in the 80th minute of play. Jarbas Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Celso Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. RB Miguelense's Cido dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kiko Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Campelo FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
