Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudinei Negri in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuca Mello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olarias's Samuca Mello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Olarias from getting a goal against them. Geovanni Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ricardinho Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Abelardo Souto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Negri in the 73rd minute of play forced Olarias's goalkeeper Samuca Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
