Legião Futebol Clube's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Severino Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kléber de Salles's late challenge caught a Legião Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Levanto Caicedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.R.FLAMENGO's supporters rose to their feet, but Levanto Caicedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Leme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
