Aírton Vianna hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Marquinhos Duarte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Curt Kessen. Real Catarinense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marquinhos Duarte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Curt Kessen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Diniz in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Aírton Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Lopes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Luís Valle came out and tried to block the shot, but Celso Lopes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 24th minute. 32 minutes into the match, S.E. Los Bigodes's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardinho Sabóia came free, but Pedro Luís Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Benjamin Toscano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Curt Kessen. When Franklin Diniz came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the S.E. Los Bigodes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franklin Diniz couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the match, S.E. Los Bigodes's Marquinhos Duarte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Curt Kessen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardinho Sabóia to make the kick off. Marquinhos Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Curt Kessen made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Toscano got free with Curt Kessen in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Curt Kessen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from György Cseh in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Sabóia in the 58th minute of play forced S.E. Los Bigodes's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Benjamin Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Real Catarinense's zone, Marquinhos Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Curt Kessen came out of the goal and Marquinhos Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benjamin Toscano struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Curt Kessen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E. Los Bigodes. Curt Kessen was a little too slow when Marquinhos Duarte got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 3-4. Benjamin Toscano struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Curt Kessen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E. Los Bigodes. Marquinhos Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th match minute, Real Catarinense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Vianna to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when György Cseh got free with Curt Kessen in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 92 minutes Real Catarinense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Caetano Lopez who took care of the corner kick. 94 minutes into the match, Real Catarinense's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Toscano came free, but Curt Kessen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 played minutes Franklin Diniz rounded Real Catarinense's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-5. When the match was over S.E. Los Bigodes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Real Catarinense throughout the match.
