Erivaldo Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Uz Federais's Erivaldo Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Pedro Luís Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silas Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. João Pedro Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, acg Athletic futebol club's Jacinto de Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Pedro Fonseca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Uz Federais's João Pedro Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Santos in the 26th minute of play. João Carlos de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. With a little luck, acg Athletic futebol club's Jailson de Moraes got control of the ball when Pedro Luís Teles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hortêncio Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson de Moraes having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Hortêncio Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jailson de Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Erivaldo Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hortêncio Novaes struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Jailson de Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uz Federais. João Carlos de Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Carlos de Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Uz Federais booed when acg Athletic futebol club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Carlos de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Pedro Luís Teles hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Silas Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hortêncio Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. With his leg João Pedro Fonseca managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when acg Athletic futebol club's Silas Santos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
