He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Zeca Vale. After 8 played minutes Clube Dínamo Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Lucas. The audience was convinced that Fabiano Mazza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Dionísio was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Fabiano Mazza scored 1-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Dionísio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zeca Vale came out of the goal and Ernani Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabiano Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Dionísio having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Abreu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Águia Real Sport's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Dínamo Paulista the free kick. Ricardinho Abreu hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evandro Messias to strike the kick off in the second half.
