After 4 played minutes Dominion got a freekick which was hit by Korneliusz Dziatkowski. In the 6th match minute, Itaperuna-RJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André de Moraes to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Paulista in the 8th minute of play forced Dominion's goalkeeper Rodolfo Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fernando Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Brito in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodolfo Ramalho saved Dominion from getting behind. Fred Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dominion's Luiz Fernando Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Korneliusz Dziatkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Mateus Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Nicolas Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fred Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodolfo Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André de Moraes in the 30th minute of play. Ezequiel Barbosa hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38thth minute of the game Nicolas Brito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dominion's Rodolfo Ramalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 40th minute Fred Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André de Moraes scored 0-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodolfo Ramalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adolfo Cresconio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Korneliusz Dziatkowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Adolfo Cresconio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Rodolfo Ramalho made a huge save. In the 67th play minute Nicolas Brito came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rodolfo Ramalho. 0-2. Rodolfo Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Brito got free with Rodolfo Ramalho in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the match, André de Moraes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rodolfo Ramalho, 0-3. After 76 played minutes Itaperuna-RJ got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Queiroz. If Emerson Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th match minute, Itaperuna-RJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André de Moraes to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Cresconio got free with Rodolfo Ramalho in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André de Moraes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rodolfo Ramalho came out and tried to block the shot, but André de Moraes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 96th minute. Itaperuna-RJ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
