Diego Guedes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Piranhas's Thiago Pontes got control of the ball when Felipe Munhoz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thiago Pontes made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Jaime Souto sent off a good shot on target. 21 minutes into the game, Blauth's Jaime Souto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 27th minute Dorival Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diego Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauã Braga in the 40th minute of the match. A collision led to Piranhas getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. José Maria Salgado hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After 54 minutes, Bebeto Mandrak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piranhas and the Blauth players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Piranhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Munhoz in the 74th minute of play. Blauth's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Cauã Braga scored to the left of an out of position Diego Guedes, making the score, 2-2. Dorival Vale who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Diego Guedes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Diego Guedes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jaime Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pontes having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jaime Souto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pontes was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
