Spectators: 7204 (Terracing: 5405, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) Adelino Matorin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 7 minutes into the match, FC Anji Makhachkala's goal looked a bit too open when Cauã Braga came free, but Murillo Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murillo Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauã Braga in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of FC Anji Makhachkala booed when Piranhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adelino Matorin in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Anji Makhachkala's attentive Fiori Rossi managed to snatch the ball when Arlindo Vides made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. Adelino Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Thiago Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piranhas's Thiago Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Matorin in the 17th minute of play. Adelino Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pontes having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adelino Matorin in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pontes saved Piranhas from getting behind. FC Anji Makhachkala's Cícero Simão managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Arlindo Vides in the 26 minute of the game. In the 27th minute, Adelino Matorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Murillo Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Thiago Pontes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 37th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cauã Braga to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Cauã Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piranhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cauã Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Murillo Monteiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafim da Mata in the 56th minute. Serafim da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Monteiro having to interfere. Murillo Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cauã Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 played minutes Piranhas got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Mandrak. The crowd rose to their feet as Piranhas's Dorival Vale slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Murillo Monteiro. That made the score 2-1 after 63 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauã Braga in the 70th minute of play forced FC Anji Makhachkala's goalkeeper Murillo Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 played minutes FC Anji Makhachkala got a freekick which was hit by Cícero Simão. In the 73rd minute, Ronn Yang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorival Vale got free with Murillo Monteiro in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute, Dorival Vale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Piranhas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Dorival Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Murillo Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cícero Simão during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cícero Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Adelino Matorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 88 minutes, Adelino Matorin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Anji Makhachkala and the Piranhas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adelino Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
