Humberto do Nascimento didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adolfo Cresconio went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 21 played minutes EC Ajax SRCB got a freekick which was hit by José Maria da Cunha. If Emerson Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto do Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolas Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute Nicolas Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto do Nascimento having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Ernani Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 minutes of play, Itaperuna-RJ's Fred Paulista made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto do Nascimento was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fred Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The EC Ajax SRCB players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Itaperuna-RJ were winning 2-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kauan da Rocha was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto do Nascimento was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. After 60 minutes, Kauan da Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EC Ajax SRCB and the Itaperuna-RJ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fred Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Kauan da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. EC Ajax SRCB's supporters rose to their feet, but Kauan da Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateus Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mateus Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria da Cunha in the 79th minute of the match. EC Ajax SRCB succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Itaperuna-RJ had controlled the match.
