Spectators: 6671 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 10) Tarcisio Andrade started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Cléberson Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Carvalho in the 4th minute of the match. Acácio Varela was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Tarcisio Andrade capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tarcisio Andrade really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 13th minute Inácio Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléberson Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Teodoro Romero came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Zonzura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Romero couldn't finish the play. Teodoro Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Acácio Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Sassego was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Miranda to maneuver through the defense. When Sassego's Dedê Trevisan in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zonzura's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarcisio Andrade in the 27th minute of play forced Sassego's goalkeeper Acácio Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cléberson Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedê Trevisan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodoro Romeros short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Acácio Varela to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Teodoro Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodoro Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Varela having to interfere. With his leg Acácio Varela managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Zonzura's Teodoro Romero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tarcisio Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute, Inácio Carvalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sassego fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Dedê Trevisan made the kick off in the second half. Tarcisio Andrade blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Acácio Varela having to make a save. In the 54th minute, Róbson do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 played minutes, Zonzura's Danilo Alvarenga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Acácio Varela came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zonzura reached it. Cléberson Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedê Trevisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sassego's zone, Tarcisio Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Acácio Varela came out of the goal and Tarcisio Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the match, Tarcisio Andrade notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sassego's Acácio Varela. Acácio Varela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sassego's Acácio Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Romero in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Sassego booed when Zonzura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Zonzura's Cléberson Vieira got control of the ball when Inácio Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tarcisio Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Acácio Varela. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tarcisio Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Zonzura booed when Sassego was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardinho Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97thth minute of the game Teodoro Romero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sassego's Acácio Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sassego players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zonzura.
