In the 39th minute, Júlio Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aloísio de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Lara having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Jailson Furlan made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, All Castilha's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio de Almeida came free, but Cássio Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Juarês Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gorutuba Futebol Clube's Emerson de Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Gorutuba Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, All Castilha's Emerson de Almeida threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bernardinho Passos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 70 minutes, Jailson Furlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. All Castilha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jailson Furlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jailson Furlan struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Emerson de Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for All Castilha.
