After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Douglas Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Young FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Dantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cássio Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cássio Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Rocha in the 27th minute of play. Armandinho Freire didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardinho Passos went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 33rd play minutes Richard Esteves shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Cássio Lara and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 37th minute, Joaquim Rocha made a precise shot to the right of Cássio Lara. All Castilha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Cássio Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 46th minute of the match, Júlio Gonçalves tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Armandinho Freire saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pedrinho Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jailson Furlan to make the kick off. Douglas Dantas's late challenge caught a All Castilha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douglas Dantas helped the player get up and apologised. Young FC's Armandinho Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Gonçalves in the 57th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedrinho Tepedino got free with Cássio Lara in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 62 minutes into the match, All Castilha's goalkeeper Cássio Lara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Rocha. After 65 minutes, Ciro Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the All Castilha and the Young FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, All Castilha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Valle to maneuver through the defense. When Richard Esteves came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Young FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Esteves couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute Richard Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jailson Furlan was slow to take the kick. During this time All Castilha's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Young FC's goalie and right to Eusébio Arce. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Young FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Armandinho Freire came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by All Castilha's Bernardinho Passos. But to his dismay, Bernardinho Passos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a rather tough play, All Castilha's Gerson Lopes got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 83 minutes of play, Young FC's Pedrinho Tepedino made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio Lara was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Young FC's Douglas Dantas got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Richard Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Esteves struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Cássio Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Young FC. If Pedrinho Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
