Túlio Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cido de Alcântara having to interfere. The supporters of Ayres 07 F.C booed when SC Corinthians Paulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Paiva in the 29th minute of play forced Ayres 07 F.C's goalkeeper Cido de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cido de Alcântara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismael Paiva's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 52 minutes, Alan Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ayres 07 F.C and the SC Corinthians Paulista players grew even worse after the yellow card. The SC Corinthians Paulista fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Ismael Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Corinthians Paulista's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cido de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Corinthians Paulista played a much better game than Ayres 07 F.C and deserved their victory. The Ayres 07 F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
