Spectators: 7288 (Terracing: 5468, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nelsinho Peres started the match with the kick off. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Apiacás Esporte Clube! In the 6th match minute, Laranjeiras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Barreto to maneuver through the defense. Reynaldo Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Marques having to interfere. Dorival Pinheiro charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorival Pinheiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 26 minutes into the match, Apiacás Esporte Clube's Reynaldo Domingues sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mazinho Marques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Reynaldo Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dorival Pinheiro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 33 minutes had been played. In the 34th match minute, Laranjeiras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Laranjeiras FC's goalkeeper Mazinho Marques had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Allan Arruda. Laranjeiras FC's Fernandinho Catarinense got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernandinho Catarinense made a kick off. William Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Apiacás Esporte Clube's Reynaldo Domingues in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Laranjeiras FC's goalie prevented a goal. Fernandinho Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serginho Bittencourt having to interfere. Apiacás Esporte Clube's Reynaldo Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reynaldo Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Mazinho Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Laranjeiras FC booed when Apiacás Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Mazinho Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When William Cardozo came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Apiacás Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Cardozo couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Reynaldo Domingues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arí Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jerônimo Hermes hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. If William Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nelsinho Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Apiacás Esporte Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
