Oséias França might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joélson Paranaense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oséias França ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Iguai FC booed when Simões F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerônimo Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute of the match Chiquinho Teixeira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafinha Zonta skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Naldo Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simões F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Naldo Cearense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafinha Zonta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute, Marcelinho Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Iguai FC's goalkeeper Rafinha Zonta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christiano Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nando Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafinha Zonta made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Nando Mello sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the game, Simões F.C.'s Nando Mello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafinha Zonta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Joélson Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Dionísio, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Iguai FC's Tiago Pontes got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Christiano Coutinho made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Simões F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Oséias França came free, but Joélson Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Tiago Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iguai FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Pontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joélson Paranaense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Oséias França sped through Simões F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joélson Paranaense. Naldo Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felipe Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 67 minutes, Christiano Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simões F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Christiano Coutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nando Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, Christiano Coutinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Rafinha Zonta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rafinha Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christiano Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Tiago Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Oséias França's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joélson Paranaense was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Nando Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Simões F.C.'s goalkeeper Joélson Paranaense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiago Pontes. Oséias França received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joélson Paranaense came out and tried to block the shot, but Oséias França slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 91st minute. Christiano Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Zonta having to interfere. In the 99th minute Christiano Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafinha Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Simões F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Iguai FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Iguai FC.
