The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rafinha Zonta made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when César Rocha sent off a good shot on target. If Chiquinho de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. Rafinha Zonta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from César Rocha went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 15 minutes of play, Kushikime's Luís Fabiano de Barros made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafinha Zonta was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Chiquinho de Salles came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Kushikime fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chiquinho de Salles couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute, Iguai FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after César Rocha fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. César Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Zonta having to interfere. Chiquinho de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian de Alcântara having to interfere. Cristian de Alcântara came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Iguai FC's Oséias França. But to his dismay, Oséias França quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After having played for 34 minutes, Tiago Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iguai FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Pontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Iguai FC's goalkeeper Rafinha Zonta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by César Rocha. The audience was convinced that Chiquinho de Salles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafinha Zonta was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Rafinha Zonta made an important save on a dangerous shot by César Rocha in the 42nd minute. Chiquinho de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Zonta having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Elder de Queirós hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Samuca Alvarenga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafinha Zonta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rafinha Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiquinho de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tiago Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. César Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rafinha Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, César Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquinho de Salles in the 87th minute of play forced Iguai FC's goalkeeper Rafinha Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Chiquinho de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulysses Recife during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Iguai FC booed when Kushikime was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball.
