After 3 played minutes Giqui got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe Pimenta. João Paulo Correia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Joélson Paranaense skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Juninho Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Coutinho in the 10th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Giqui's João Paulo Correia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joélson Paranaense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Anselmo Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 played minutes Giqui got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Moura. Joélson Paranaense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Paulo Correia went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Ronaldo Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Simões F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ronaldo Gaspar fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. João Paulo Correia struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Joélson Paranaense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Giqui. João Paulo Correias short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Joélson Paranaense to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, João Paulo Correia put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Joélson Paranaense. Ronaldo Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joélson Paranaense was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ronaldo Gaspar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 47 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

In the 54th minute, Christiano Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joélson Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Correia in the 56th minute of play. João Paulo Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Giuseppe Pimenta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joélson Paranaense was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. The audience was convinced that João Paulo Correia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joélson Paranaense was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Simões F.C.'s zone, Ronaldo Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joélson Paranaense came out of the goal and Ronaldo Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joélson Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Correia in the 67th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, João Paulo Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giqui's supporters rose to their feet, but João Paulo Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joélson Paranaense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute, Ronaldo Gaspar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nando Mello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Juninho Salles made a huge save. After 77th play minutes João Paulo Correia shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Joélson Paranaense and just under the crossbar into goal. Waldir Mineiro's late challenge caught a Giqui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldir Mineiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Simões F.C.! In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Giqui. Ronaldo Gaspar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joélson Paranaense. 7-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Paulo Correia in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joélson Paranaense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94thth minute of the game João Paulo Correia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Simões F.C.'s Joélson Paranaense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Simões F.C.'s goalkeeper Joélson Paranaense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Giqui's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
