The referee ignored Quintino's protests and gave Rodolfo Prado a yellow card for diving instead. Rodolfo Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Vila Mônaco Futebol Clube were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Durvalino de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fabiano Paiva having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
