Atlétic Mauhilay AD's Tadeu Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué da Fonseca in the 9th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Oncas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Arantes to maneuver through the defense. Cafu Barral took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Paulo de Barros. Luís Paulo de Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After having played for 22 minutes, Lucas Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oncas SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Paulo de Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Mel in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Cafu Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Fabiano Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Luís Paulo de Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Mel in the 34th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the game, André Luiz Bueno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlétic Mauhilay AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oncas SC the free kick. After 36 played minutes Atlétic Mauhilay AD got a freekick which was hit by André Luiz Bueno. Tadeu Guedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raúl Ferreira in the 38th minute. Cafu Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Luís Paulo de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raúl Ferreira during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Oncas SC! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Hermínio de Godoi hit a great ball. In the 57th minute Atlétic Mauhilay AD were awarded a corner. Walmyr Soares went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Atlétic Mauhilay AD's corner Walmyr Soares fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luís Paulo de Barros quite easily take care of the ball. Atlétic Mauhilay AD's Tadeu Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué da Fonseca in the 60th minute of play. If Antonio Mel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Paulo de Barros made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Aírton Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. Josué da Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Tadeu Guedes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oncas SC. After having played for 77 minutes, Lucas Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oncas SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes in the game, Cafu Barral fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Luís Paulo de Barros having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Cláudio Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Oncas SC defense, Cafu Barral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Paulo de Barros. The Oncas SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Paulo de Barros should have stopped the shot. Antonio Mel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 86 minutes, Josué da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oncas SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josué da Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Antonio Mel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlétic Mauhilay AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Mel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Paulo de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tadeu Guedes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Josué da Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. A collision led to Atlétic Mauhilay AD getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Aírton Pinheiro hit a great ball. Josué da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dito Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Raúl Ferreira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tadeu Guedes. Atlétic Mauhilay AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atlétic Mauhilay AD eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
