If Zé Augusto de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Luís Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Gaspar having to interfere. Alex Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Daniel Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 15 minutes, Daniel Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mauriti FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Prestes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Preguica's Rodriguinho Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luís Severo in the 16th minute of play. Preguica's Juninho Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Preguica's Zé Augusto de Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mauriti FC's Iuri Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Augusto de Andrade in the 27th minute of play. Daniel Prestes took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodriguinho Gaspar. Rodriguinho Gaspar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Iuri Mendes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zé Augusto de Andrade showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 37 minute of play. Zé Augusto de Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute, Frédson Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juninho Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Iuri Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Augusto de Andrade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Iuri Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Augusto de Andrade's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Godoi in the 56th minute of play forced Mauriti FC's goalkeeper Iuri Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Daniel Prestes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mauriti FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Preguica the free kick. Rodriguinho Gaspar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Prestes in the 69th minute. Zé Augusto de Andrade's late challenge caught a Mauriti FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Augusto de Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Preguica's Zé Augusto de Andrade got a free kick in the 78th minute. Zé Augusto de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Zé Augusto de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iuri Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Prestes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodriguinho Gaspar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mauriti FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
