Spectators: 7280 (Terracing: 5462, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Víktor Chaves kicked off to start the match. Evandro Rosado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton Pinheiro in the 3rd minute of play. Antonio Mel struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Evandro Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlétic Mauhilay AD. Evandro Rosado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evandro Rosado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cafu Barral in the 9th minute of play. Antonio Mel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Rosado having to interfere. Ricardo Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonio Mel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cafu Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Rosado having to interfere. The supporters of Atlétic Mauhilay AD booed when Dragão Mecânico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodriguinho Varela during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rodriguinho Varela hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Walmyr Soares was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Atlétic Mauhilay AD's Ricardo Arantes got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Rosado having to interfere. Dragão Mecânico's Evandro Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu Barral in the 26th minute of play. Antonio Mel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evandro Rosado having to make a save. After having played for 30 minutes, Ricardo Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlétic Mauhilay AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Arantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Davi Catarinense's late challenge caught a Atlétic Mauhilay AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Davi Catarinense helped the player get up and apologised. 32 minutes into the game, one of Dragão Mecânico:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 38thth minute of the game Ricardo Arantes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragão Mecânico's Evandro Rosado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aírton Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute Víktor Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeu Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antonio Mel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Arantes hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Ricardo Arantes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Evandro Rosado made a huge save. When Atlétic Mauhilay AD's Rodriguinho Cardoso in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tadeu Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víktor Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the match was over Atlétic Mauhilay AD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dragão Mecânico throughout the match.
