Bernardo Rocha started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Thiaguera F.C's Pedro Augusto Lopez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pedro Augusto Lopez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Thiaguera F.C protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pedro Augusto Lopez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Marquinhos Cunha had in the 7thth minute some difficulties stopping Pedro Luís Gaspar's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Thiaguera F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Tiaguinho Araújo came free, but Marquinhos Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ricardo Oliveira Club's Rogério Peixoto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marquinhos Cunha. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. Rogério Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Marquinhos Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Durval Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Marquinhos Cunha managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Ricardo Oliveira Club's Rogério Peixoto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Thiaguera F.C booed when Ricardo Oliveira Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víktor Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jefferson Ceresso was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Luizinho Baiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hendi Raturandang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Tiaguinho Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ricardo Oliveira Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiaguinho Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho Araújo in the 29th minute of play forced Thiaguera F.C's goalkeeper Marquinhos Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério Peixotos short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Marquinhos Cunha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marquinhos Cunha came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Ricardo Oliveira Club's Rogério Peixoto. But to his dismay, Rogério Peixoto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Tiaguinho Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marquinhos Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. When Ricardo Oliveira Club's Rogério Peixoto in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thiaguera F.C's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogério Peixoto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bernardo Rocha made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ricardo Oliveira Club's Dário Arantes. Dário Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Marquinhos Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60thth minute of the game Rogério Peixoto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thiaguera F.C's Marquinhos Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Ricardo Oliveira Club's Tiaguinho Araújo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marquinhos Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Durval Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Marquinhos Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Durval Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marquinhos Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Ezequiel Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ricardo Oliveira Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Eger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rogério Peixoto scored 5-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marquinhos Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tiaguinho Araújo might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marquinhos Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiaguinho Araújo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th match minute, Thiaguera F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Luís Gaspar didn't quite understand what happened when in the 79 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. If Tiaguinho Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dário Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos Cunha having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Tiaguinho Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ricardo Oliveira Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiaguinho Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marquinhos Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tiaguinho Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiaguinho Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
