Belmiro Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Cerezo in the 28th minute of play. But to his dismay, José Vítor Guerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 37th minute, Wilson Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 41 minutes, Isaltino Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tucum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaltino Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Belmiro Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino Cunha in the 43rd minute of play. Elano Bueno struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Belmiro Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tucum. Caco de Souza made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when José Vítor Guerra sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stancho Hadzhiminev made a kick off. Doni Amorim was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 51 minutes into the match. When Jailson Vinhas came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the ILHA COMPRIDA SP CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jailson Vinhas couldn't finish the play. When Josu Lijo fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ILHA COMPRIDA SP CF's protests and gave Josu Lijo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Josu Lijo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duarte Rezende made in the 66th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Stancho Hadzhiminev immediately put the ball in play. Tucum's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If José Vítor Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ILHA COMPRIDA SP CF's Belmiro Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Cerezo in the 86th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, José Vítor Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. ILHA COMPRIDA SP CF's supporters rose to their feet, but José Vítor Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caco de Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
