Luisinho Meireles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for São Paulo F.C. Jailson Mesquita charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jailson Mesquita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th match minute, São Paulo F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. Magno Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Boleiros FC's Agostinho Pombal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vágner Gomes. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. Agostinho Pombal struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Vágner Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boleiros FC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agostinho Pombal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Boleiros FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Pedrinho Paraense hit a great ball. Adrianinho Urbano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisinho Meireles having to make a save. Zeca Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Luisinho Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Kléberson da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kléberson da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Adrianinho Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisinho Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Adrianinho Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pedro Valadares came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the São Paulo F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Valadares couldn't finish the play. Rogério Tinoco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vágner Gomes having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Boleiros FC's Kléberson da Costa got a free kick in the 86th minute. 96 minutes into the game, Adrianinho Urbano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luisinho Meireles. Adrianinho Urbano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, Boleiros FC could leave the field as winners, despite São Paulo F.C having more of the ball for most of the match.
